Thanks for letting me listen. I've learned a lot. When I have the time (after some maturation on the part of the new infant) to take up training in the FMA, I'll be able to do so with my eyes wider-open than I would've been able without you. So I'm grateful to you all. Especially, somehow, Rocky, for the laffs. My best and heartiest wishes for you all in this season and after. May God provide for you and protect you and those you love at this time and after. Titles from Panther and Unique are way behind in terms of the presentation and > content. I am not a JKD practioner, but on viewing the first four of Bob's tapes I just thought that the were boring, nothing wrong with the tapes per se, just that they had nothing new or different. Nothing wrong with that. Depending on the knowledge, every video can be boring. If you have seen a lot, trained a lot, visited many seminars, then many videos might seem not so interesting for that person. But that does not mean, that this video is "dreadful" for everybody. > I do have a question for Dieter: why do you always have a German National do the voice over on your tapes? While I can understand this on the tapes by Danny Guba (having spoken to him Well, it is also a cost factor. I used to have a british speaker, but he was rather expencive. Some of the Bob videos, I think 5 and 6 have the voiceover from a student of Bob, Alex Turnbull, and the Rapid Arnis videos are dubbed by Pat OīMalley. For the others I dubbed them myself. Honest question: are there too many mistakes in the english, is the accent bugging is the terminoligy I use wrong? I donīt mean this as an offending question, just as a feedback from native english speaking people. > why does neither Mike nor Emmanuel do the voice over on Suro Inay's tapes. Thatīs easy: I film the videos when both are in Germany, then they return to the US, I edit the videos and usually, after Suro Inay approved the editing, I dubb it. They are in the US when I do the dubbing and I canīt afford to fly Suro Inay back into Germany just to do the dubbing of the videos. But perhaps I can do something different in the future, if my voice with the germany accent is really annoying many of the customers. A little survey would be interesting for me: Please, everybody who has some of my (ABANICO) videos, please write to me on private e-mail regarding the dubbing, so I see your opinion about it: Is it ok the way I dub, or should I have an native english speaking person doing the dubbing? If you whis an english speaking person, please point out why. Other comments are welcome too of course. BTW, at the moment I am producing a series about cassical Kata Bunkai (application) of the Karate Katas (Heian and Pinan, later also the higher ones). There is elemenatry, advanced and complex application on each video. It is amazing, how similar some techniques and training routines of this Karate (Shotokan style before it was changet to comnpetiotion style by the JKA) are to FMA. They have drills (called renzokus-waza, lockflows, foottraps, nervestrikes and many other things I havenīt seen in Karate before) Is there anything like this out on the american video market? Would be interesting for me, if I sould really market it in the US.. Moneymaker, etc. Buntai as been a popular topic in the US for the last 8 or so years.
