Also are there any other > periodicals about FMA or IMA? > > Buddy Hi Buddy, There are two at the moment; The Filipino Martial Arts Magazine, produced by Eliot Sharer in the USA, and Stickfighter, produced by Pat O'Malley in the UK. To read a brief overview of the first years issues of the FMA magazine (its now half way through year two - those writes ups will be available from Saturday) go to "labanbaston.cjb.net" and follow the links. I don't have Pat's web site address to hand, but if you do a search for Rapid Arnis, you'll find it. The time is 1 to 5 PM and the cost of the seminar will be $30. The last hour of the seminar will be set aside for testing of PTI members. This month I will be working on the part 1 of the Single Stick 5 Attacks Subsystem, a quick combat derivative of all the single stick principles in Pekiti-Tirsia. For directions to this seminar and other info, please visit the PTI web site: www.pekiti-tirsia.com Regards, Tuhon Bill McGrath ------------------------------ From: abass@iname.com Date: Tue, 4 Jan 2000 23:21:12 -0500 Subject: eskrima: VDM updated Thanks to everyone for their feedback on the Virtual Drill Master program I wrote. Due to numerous requests, I reworked some stuff and you are now able to specify where you want the program to be installed. http://www.geocities.com/Athens/Pantheon/5640 thanks again, ash ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ All the busy little creatures Chasing out their destinies Living in their pools They soon forget about the sea... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~N.P.~~~ ------------------------------ From: "Patrick Christian" Date: Wed, 5 Jan 2000 01:26:43 -0500 Subject: eskrima: Suro Mike Inay I just wanted to take a second and thank Lahong Guro Steve Klement for getting the correct information to me about the date that Suro Mike Inay created the Spontaneous Knife Defense program. I should have mentioned in my previous post where I got the information and who gave it to me. (Apologies, Lahong). It certainly would be a great experience. A couple of garden sprinklers could provide the right effect for a virtual rain effect. I always wanted to see one of the NHB fights in the octogan with a wall through it and puddles on the floor. Lets see people go to the floor as quickly then! Actually thinking about it, by turning on actual hoses you could simulate riot scenarios! Welcome to the new year! Well, our web site is finally up. You guys can check it out at hawaii-eskrima.com Just to let everyone know... in Hawaii we do have access to modern things... like electricity and running water. Some of us do live in grass shack, but that's because we can't afford the houses over here. And Brandon thanks for the help. Email me if you see this. I'll be in Hong Kong next summer.
