In addition to having studied Pekiti-tirsia under Grand Tuhon Leo T. Gaje Jr. and Pentjak Silat under Suyardi “Eddie” Jafri, David developed his skills through years of sparring with Eric “Top Dog” Knaus and others. Drawing on over 20 years of full-contact fighting experience, David has developed a system that is based on reality instead of untested theory. Topic: Empty hand attacks and counter attacks against weapons. Drills will be taught that will develop key elements such as: power, strategy and tactics. Attendees of previous seminars will see how various elements of the stick and the blade apply to the “empty hand”. When: Saturday, January 29, 2000. Which reminds me of almost falling on my keister when i tried to throw a kick at someone in a parking lot and didnt relize that i was standing in some transmission fluid,.....whoa a hard way to learn!
