If it was an eskrima stick I might choose that instead but baseball bats are real heavy and need some arc space. Unless you jab with them, and in that case a knife is far far nastier. ------------------------------ From: "Joe & Doro Hironaka" Date: Mon, 28 Feb 2000 09:58:09 -0800 Subject: eskrima: Masters Video Hey Crafty, where's the Masters video you mentioned? I logged onto your sight with the intention of ordering one, but it wasn't there. What's up? Why isn't Lima Lama more popular?? I chatted with a Samoan BJJ practitioner online once,.. and he said that all his brothers and cousins were Lima Lama guys, and they were always fighting and getting in fights. The whipping hands seem to be a nice application of sinawali or blade work. Anybody on the list train this art??? My employer is sending me on a couple courses from March 6-17, along with a few co-workers. Evenings and the one weekend will pretty much be our own, but the others are more inclined to sight-seeing. I may do some, but I'd prefer to squeeze in more training than I usually have time for, as well as to meet some like-minded folks. For what it's worth, I'll be staying in Burlington, with some access to a car, depending on the plans of my fellow tourists. I don't mind using the transit system if that helps though. Thanks! I thought I remembered a posting on the list awhile back that said the dog brothers had finished volume one of their new series. Volume one was 'An Interview with the Masters' or something like that. I searched the archives, but couldn't find anything. I went to their web sight and see nothing about a new series. I'm sure I remember some of the information wrong, so ... Have they begun a new series? If so, have they completed any of the volumes? Where can I learn more about them?
