I logged onto your | sight with the intention of ordering one, but it wasn't there. What's up? | | Joe Hironaka | From: "james lankford" | | I thought I remembered a posting on the list awhile back that said the dog brothers had finished volume one of their new series. Volume one was 'An Interview with the Masters' or something like that. I searched the archives, but couldn't find anything. I went to their web sight and see nothing about a new series. I'm sure I remember some of the information wrong, so ... Have they begun a new series? If so, have they completed any of the volumes? Where can I learn more about them? | | Thank You The first video in the second series DBMA-1 "The Grandfathers Speak" is finished and available for sale. $30 plus $5 S&H. I know everyones been looking forward to the DB video series, and I've been working on putting together a video series also. Basically looking at doing two on single stick(one on some drills and working on closings and the other on defenses and some striking drills), one on double stick, one on empty hands(panantukan, pananjakman, and dumog-this will include how the sticks translate directly to the empty hand) and staff. All tapes will include "technical" aspect, real practice, some footage of my class, and full contact sparring. I'm not sure if where exactly the footwork section will be placed but it will be there. I've got the basic outline on what I'm doing, but I was wondering if any of the post has anything that they wanted to see. Production will be inhouse as far as we're planning it right now. Video quality will not be the highest around but content quality should more than make up for it. Also prices are looking to be kept at a fairly decent price. Check out www.fullcontacthi.com for full contact stickfighting in Hawaii. Technique sequence should be up sometime in March. ===== "Draw me not without reason, sheath me not without honor" Chad Hawaii __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? I am a little curious. So much time has passed since the first generation eskrimadors came to the United States from the Phillipines. Needless to say, the influence from this core group has produced AMNY FMA students and instructors. My question is, particularly upon reading recent postings about "Interviews with Masters" etc, how many genuine master instructors are really out there? This is simply a question to quell my personal curiosity. That and to answer Ray Terry's call for more chatter. Thanks. Mabuhay Ang Eskrima. R.
