However I know for sure that there has been a reprint around 1984. Does anyone know a good source to buy this book? Does anyone own this book and ist willing to make me a photocopy? I would be very grateful. Please contact me per e-mail. Rocky: On another note my knee which is still killing me snip. A Chiropractor seems to have found the cause. I was born with a flat foot on my left side. And some how my hips have gotten out of line,( probably leg locking ) and do to the over compensating, that I did not even know I was doing I managed to seriously strain the knee. snip I displaced my knee cap last year during a Judo competition which was the result of a pronation in my step that had weakened the supporting muscles on the inside of my knee. I am now wearing shoe inserts that compensate and the knee is, along with help from the physios, has strengthened and is back to full working order. A good chiropractor will advise here. I now know of other athletes, specifically runners, who have these inserts made for their running shoes. But it does seem that this injury is becoming common amongst those of us 35 plus. I'd advise people to look at their shoes and don't be taken in by the advertising hype. There has been a move away from particular brands by some athletes that are worth noting. The cost of those shoes is more than the cash in terms to your general well being. Don't get caught up in the fashion hype thinking that it relates to quality. The warning signs were there as well but that's easy to say in hindsight. There was a drill we did sometimes where, while sitting down, you put your legs outside their legs. You squeeze in and they push out. I would just get trounced in this as my knee inside strength was weak. Practising the guard and squeezing your legs in an isometric method will help work those muscles. Another exercise is to see if you can do a one legged squat. There has been a real revolution in Digital Video editing software into what is referred to as Non-Linear Editing. Can't say I know much about it but there are a couple of new packages that have been reviewed in the magazine and scored very highly. Rob "Sitting on this here bench is really starting to suck.." Two of my instructors, Ryan Kelly, and Arkady Buzin (3 time world heavyweight Champion), are hosting what promises to be a spectacular event. Anyone interested in competing or spectating can get more info at our website. If you are unfamiliar with Sambo I have also put a link to a great Russian Martial arts site. We will have complete rules, registration forms and a map posted very soon. There are other events of interest on the same page so you may want to check it out even if you are not into the Sambo thing.
