Also, if you're looking for physical therapy regarding the bones and their alignment, I would highly recommend Bowen, an Australian type of bone manipulation that helped me greatly with my own knee problems. Took about eight sessions but they work almost as good as new now. By the way, very glad to hear someone NOT milking an injury for all it's worth. I haven't trained in FMA for a couple of years but when I did I dabbled in Illustrisimo, Doce Pares and Balintawak. I am really starting to miss it but as I have recently moved to Japan (Nara) I am having difficulty finding any classes (anywhere). If any of you out there have any info. or contacts for FMA in Japan could you please post it to the list or to troy-kuni@japan.email.ne.jp Thanks in advance. Troy ------------------------------ From: "BILL MCGRATH" Date: Sat, 18 Mar 2000 09:58:49 -0500 Subject: eskrima: N.H. Pekiti Seminar I will be conducting a Solo Baston and Knife Abcedario seminar next Saturday, March 25th in Nashua, New Hampshire. The Abcedario covers 12 sets of 12 attacks with both the single stick and knife. It's a great way to add additional "vocabulary" to your strikes and transitions. The stick sets cover a great variety of strikes with all parts of the stick plus transitional parried between the strikes. The knife sets covers single knife attacks in both hammer and icepick grips as well as two knives both held in icepick grip. For additional information please contact: Mr. Don MacKay (603) 889-6181 Hope to see you there. Interesting question. Have you considered the possibility that women are different and not as "interested in learning self-defense skills" as men?
