You must have missed the fight between Dogzilla and Big Erv. ;-) Dogzilla had Erv in his long guard and cracked him about 3 good ones in the top of the head to no apparent effect. (Nor did the best headbutt I've ever seen in action a bit later in the fight when they both got to their feet.) It was a great fight and ended with both as friends. In the context of Dog Brothers fighting, it is a sign of respect to take it further. And, although not directly on point, I would note that it does happen that strikes catch fighters behind the rear edge of the mask not infrequently-- for example my first fight with True Dog. I mention this in reference to the belief on the part of some that any and all shots to the unprotected head finish the fight. Do you intend to relegate the teaching/training tapes to the DBMAA vids, or are some tapes in the second series to include this material? Also, it's great that you feel the "deep joy" in fatherhood. Far too many today don't, unfortunately. So, here's to less hoping and more, ah, attempting. It's not like it's hard work for our part... jester ------------------------------ From: Sidney525@aol.com Date: Tue, 2 May 2000 18:42:13 EDT Subject: eskrima: Disconnecte # in Indiana Ray- I saw with interest your posting on "Cacoy" seminar in Lafayette, IN under Walt Hartwhich.
