For example: Professor Wally Jay (Jujitsu), Professor Willy Cahill (Judo), Professor Allen Magdangal (Villabrille Kali), Professor Ron Hellman (Villabrille Kali), Professor Mario Magdangal (Villabrille Kali), Professor Jerry Pongasi (Villabrille Kali), The late Professor Vee (Vee Arnis Jujitsu), Professor Salem Assli(Savate), Professor A. Emperado (Kajukenbo), etc, etc... I think that within the martial arts the title of Professor carries a different meaning than that of the Academic world. An interesting note on the non-academic titles granted to Sultan Uddin by Grandmaster Illustrisimo: The Grandmaster title is totally foreign--read U.S.A.--and all of Illustrisimo's own students referred to him as Tatang or Tatay (the Visayas version of Tatang or grandfather/older man). Tony Diego is Tony, not Grand Pubah or any other inflated title. And as long as Advanced Guro Bob has called for transparency, please share with us how Sultan Uddin fared against Tony Diego in their friendly sparring session in Manila? I guess it is time to take the Maha Guro Sultan Uddin thread offline. Sorry I asked what the Ph.D. was in. Didn't think it would cause so much controversy. Time to move on. No more posts on this topic. Thanks.
