Anyways I have these stupid 14 year old kids who torch cars and buildings and throw beer bottles at people. One kid took a swing at me with a stick so I closed, blocked on the stick hand and instinctively straight blasted him.... then 4 friends came out of nowhere with broken beer bottles and I ran and called the cops. Problem --- they live almost right beside me.... The cops won't do anything cuz they can't find them, and if they could, they are too young to detain. How would you UKers handle a situation like this? Obviously I don't want to lose a confrontation (and die?) or win a confrontation (and take out 4 kids?) and I can't really afford to move right away ------------------------------ From: SReiter000@aol.com Date: Thu, 6 Jul 2000 00:15:46 EDT Subject: eskrima: Re: Inayan_Eskrima/FMA-Digest V7 #319 In a message dated 7/5/00 5:31:49 PM Pacific Daylight Time, eskrima-digest-owner@hpwsrt.cup.hp.com writes: << From: "Jennifer Toy" > Date: Fri, 30 Jun 2000 07:07:25 -0500 > Subject: eskrima: Re: Inayan_Eskrima/FMA-Digest V7 #311 > > Does anyone have specific information about the Inosanto > conference in St. Louis sponsored by Gateway Martial Arts on the weekend > of > July 13-16? > Where is it located? > Who do I contact to register? > Thanks for the info! > > Jennifer Toy >> you can always call the inosanto academy in LA Ca. ------------------------------ From: "Phan Quang Nguyen" Date: Wed, 05 Jul 2000 21:31:00 -0700 Subject: eskrima: Re: Inayan_Eskrima/FMA-Digest V7 #319 Tom, hi, I am relatively new to this list but I know of a way to harden stick. This is done in the old fashioned way. First you got to get good old sticks and not those young ones which are soft. Then, basically what you do is soak your sticks in water or muddy water prefereably until the time that it sinks to the bottom. It has to sink! and then take your sticks out and let them dry. Simply yet effective. It is very effective for rattan sticks but it would take a longer time for other hard sticks like other hard woods which some people use. Most swords should fit easy. c) actually a big bag, could stuff it full w/gym clothes, gloves, pads, water bottle (love that CytoMax drink), first aid kit (for me hahaha), foots spray (ditto) etc. oh yeah, my sticks too! d) three inside pockets, one is zippered. man did I need this for wallet/keys since go straight to gym ready to go. e) other two pockets need a flap or snap since contents (knives?) would slip out if bag carried upside down. I try something. f) yes has loud graphics - "Don't Cleave Bone Without It" hoo-hah I think I use a magic marker for that part :) My very first stickbag. I found it on Chad's site http://www.fullcontacthi.com/ I am a happy camper.
