As I have read, somewhere, bruce lee was very close to Guro Dan's family, they spent a lot of time together, and the thought of Bruce not trying out stuff with a gifted partner seems to be beyond reason to me.. Maybe somebody closer to Guro Dan I., at this time, might be able to shed some light on this.. (read yip yip crafty?) just 2 cents Stone ------------------------------ From: "Jason M. Yes. like the few nunchaku moves I taught him when he used to come to Loyola University where I was chief instructor of MA.....when he grabbed them I couldn't figure out HOW he would use them since he didn't know but a few moves. Sure enough, the editing was clever: when he was alone with no one else on camera he ran through the basic moves counting under his breath......then when he actually tried to USE them against opponents he simply flung them, swinging wildly and letting them just hang since he didn't know how to retrieve them in an actual situation. b ------------------------------ From: Chad Date: Thu, 13 Jul 2000 23:24:46 -0700 (PDT) Subject: eskrima: Passing on of a fellow digest member It saddens me deeply to announce the passing on of one of our fellow posters. I have just learned that Stuart Pauker of New York has passed away two weeks ago. This is not Stuart here in Hawaii. I met Stuart Pauker via e-mail, he was supposed to be moving to Hawaii later this month. I was trying to help him find a place to stay when he got here, and haven't recieved any mails from him in the past two weeks, but recieved an e-mail from his friend stating the above. I didn't know Stuart for long, but he often made me laugh with some of the stuff he sent me. Through all of the disagreements on the digest, I ask that everyone join me in saying a prayer in the passing of a man that had the same fire we have burning inside.
