(BTW: I recently acquired a Phoenix baton and it is very light compared to the ASP I have...much easier to carry around) thanks all, tenrec ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~ I have a Monadnock auto-lock and I really like it. I think the design is superior to the ASP. One of the nice things about it is it's so much easier to close. You can be much more discreet when both opening and closing it. You can use thrusting techniques with more confidence that the baton will not accidentally collapse. I have heard Guro describe it as Joe says, (Guro I has also admitted to "sharing" the tabok toyok with BL) and I find Stone's thoughts most reasonable. Sorry to be brief, but I'm packing to leave for NYC in a few hours for this weekend's seminar for Nick Sacoulas (718-461-0700). I heard a rumor that there is an old Dick Cavot (sp?) TV show where Master William Reeders apeared and did a small demo. HAs asnyone seen it or have a copy. Date: Fri, 14 Jul 2000 17:50:07 GMT Subject: eskrima: Dog Brothers Vol.... Hello all. I was reading this magazine yesterday and saw a Dog Brothers video add. I don't remember the volume number but it was about the stick versus nunchucks and other weapons. Can anyone tell me what the other weapons were and how far the stick went? Thanks. ________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com ------------------------------ From: Ray Terry Date: Fri, 14 Jul 2000 13:09:51 PDT Subject: eskrima: . ------------------------------ End of Inayan_Eskrima/FMA-Digest V7 #340 **************************************** To unsubscribe from the eskrima-digest send the command: unsubscribe eskrima-digest -or- unsubscribe eskrima-digest your.old@address in the BODY of an email (top line, left justified) addressed to majordomo@hpwsrt.cup.hp.com.
