In the Defensor Method we worked the multiple attack drill a few different ways. One method was in empty hand mode where a group circles around with focus mitts or Thai pads. Mitts are kept face down on the chest until offering a target. Targets vary as the feeders see fit. When the center person sees a target open, they strike based on the type of target presented. It is a good way to progress into some of the other multiple attack drills presented already. - ------------------------------------------- See you in the sticks, Dale MCP, MCP+I, MCSE www.kalieskrima.com - ------------------------------------------- ------------------------------ From: AnimalMac@aol.com Date: Wed, 13 Sep 2000 11:35:22 EDT Subject: eskrima: Dropping property values Well since everyone else is talking about where they are going to be...remember I will be dropping property values in both Germany and California at the end of September and throughout October http://www.diac.com/dgordon/schedule.html Sell your homes now before value plumets because of my presence. :D Marc Animal MacYoung ------------------------------ From: "Steven Dowd" Date: Wed, 13 Sep 2000 08:54:45 -0700 Subject: eskrima: Filipino Martial Arts Magazine Greetings all. He emphasizes that it is a way of training our reflexes and skills, but not something you would go into a fight planning to do. If I understand it correctly, and I think "justthisguy" was saying this, if you're in a fight and are doing your best to hit your opponent, and you get an "attachment", then hopefully it will, at worst allow you to react an instant faster than the other since you can sense their energy, and at best, allow you to flow into a decisive strike or technique to finish the fight. just an opinion.. :) jocelyne ------------------------------ From: "Mike Casto" Date: Wed, 13 Sep 2000 12:45:48 -0400 Subject: eskrima: A couple of seminar announcements We will be hosting a seminar with GM Cacoy Canete on May 5th, 2001 in Dayton, Ohio.
