I already forwarded him that number after spending quite a bit of time finding it on the web. (It appears Guro Inosanto no longer has a web site. I guess he must have decided it was more trouble than it was worth.) Thanks for the info in any case. So write as many posts as you > wish, the tantric stuff is not going to go away!!! > I am not commenting on the specific items above, but on the general thread that has been going on for the last dozen or so posts. I have two stories to tell, neither of which are directly related to FMA, but both illustrate a point I am trying to make. Near where I grew up, there was a national or state forest called Pocamoke forest. Pocamoke, Md. In that forest a strange event took place. You have heard the story about the couple making out. They heard on the radio about a deranged man having escaped from the mental instutitution, he only had one hand. On the end of the other arm was a hook. This couple heard some strange noises outside their car. Frightened by the noises they drove away. When they got home, (or stopped by the police) hanging from the door was a bloody hook. This story is "true" because my cousin's mother's brother-in-law's, uncle's cousin was the guy in the car. ; ) I know, I know, it did not happen that way because you heard the story too, and it did not take place in Maryland, but took place in ___________ (pick your state) and what really happened was _______________(pick your version of the story). Next true story: A fraternity brother of mine took his family to south america to visit the Inca temples. His guides told him that the pyramids were built by aliens. My fraternity brother said this man and many natives to the area were offended if you suggested that the pyramids of South America were built any other way. Did all south americans believe that way??? I doubt it. Moro (Moral) of the story. LIGHTEN UP. Belief's are many, No body knows the whole truth because what records there are may not be accurate to begin with. (How many times have you read a newspaper and absolutely know that the story is wrong because you have better knowledge about the incident than the newspaper writer.) It does not matter, because in 10, 20, 30, 50 years, what was written was the "truth" because it was in "black and white" and what really happened is lost forever. So how do you go back hundreds of years and prove this or that. (Yes you may find records and they are certainly offer proof but still... Even Darwin's evolution is considered a theory and there are some people that would never accept such a theory. So lighten up and respect anothers view point. You may disagree and give reasons for your disagreement and the story and basis you have may be better or more accurate, but who knows? You can have the "absolute truth" and shown to you, but still not believe it. So lighten up and accept that some people may have differences of opinion, even if those opinions are incorrect. I have a friend who wishes to sell two kris daggers. They are authentic having come from the Phillipines in the 1940's at the end of WWII. I am a FMA student and digest lurker who would appreciate being contacted by anyone with genuine interest or expertise who could help me appraise these items and make sure she doesn't get ripped off. She also wishes to sell a genuine Katana brought back with them. I am trying to get a digital photo that I can forward of these weapons but am willing to describe them in detail for those interested, in the interim. Recommendations of qualified individuals is also appreciated. ------------------------------ From: "tim hartman" Date: Sat, 11 Nov 2000 00:46:11 GMT Subject: eskrima: Instructors in LA Hello, does anyone have a list of FMA instructors in the L.A. area?
