I've lost count of the number of times I've had to tell my ladies to correct their deportement so as to retain their femininity whilst belting someone with a stick. Well done girls, keep it up. After I wiped the barf off of my computer keyboard I was going to write a scathing letter of indignation and utter disgust towards this chauvinistic treatment of those of us practitioners of the FMAs who also happen to be female, but your message does the job with much more tact and grace than I ever could have mustered. So I second your statement. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Yahoo! They never lost an escorted plane. Not one. So much for what some "deemed" or believed. Racism is a BIT muCH isn't it? On a related note, the Germans gave the Black soldiers who fought in the trenches of France the nickname "Hell Fighters." Two of my "mixed-race" uncles (as well as my German father-in-law) were "over there." Eh, like the good wiseman, the Greek chef in the Muppet Movie said: "Pipples izz pipples." Patton. Some pages into volume II of Vandiver, telling of the expedition against Pancho Villa, he notes, "To the agony of designer George Patton, the troopers left their sabers behind in Texas and carried rifles, pistols, and the new killing machine of modern war, the machine gun." (p. 611). Patton was on Pershing's staff during the expedition. It still is one hell of a saber! I Question what i want my efforts to reflect when i am say done from this world..... what role will i show that i worked towards and what contribution overall i will be giving back to the Art.......... I would be interested to hear what some of the other readers and watchers here have to say about what they would like to leave behind them and what contribution they feel and believe that they will give back to the arts? Ill tell you one thing if i have to face anyone in a conflict with a weapon in my hands.....i assuredly will not be worrying about what my hair looks like or what outfit i am in......It would be very foolish for someone to think otherwise with me to be sure....... I am way too old for that silly stuffs to be sure and would rather make a positive impact to the arts...... regardless if i am a women or a man or a 3 foot blue Smerf that talks funny......... its the person inside me that matters and the example i live that will leave the impression of the women i was and show the artist in my soul .....Not what i look like in a fubu outfit......
