Recently I started practising Serrada in addition to my regular Aikido training. I don't know where I heard that, but for very long time I avoided cross-training because it's "bad" to start another art/system/style before you become proficient in one. I know most of the people on this list do cross-train (FMA/JKD/Silat seems to be the popular) - so what do think about this notion? could two arts interfere with each other "movements"? under what circumestances is cross-training good (or bad)? thank you Asaf ______________________________________________________________________________ Get more from the Web. So you see Kim, White Southern Hetro Males, are the only ones that neither have any spokes group nor any protection from snide remarks. Its ridiculous. I hearya hombre ... most days I'd rather spend in the gym than in the office. A certain type is becoming bolder in their harassing ways and me, I gotta be with the office "etiquette" if I want a career. Wait til ya see what Mr. Gore has in store for the military if he gets to be boss! PC or not PC? > he also used a large stick that was shaped at one end almost > like a rifle butt Like Chingatchcook (spell?) in The Last of the Mohicans, right? Native Americans used many different types of war axes/clubs. One that I particularly like is the kind that was made by tying a knot in a young tree/root. Looking at one I could never figure out how it was accomplished, thought it was carved but that didn't explain the swirls in the wood ... pre-Yahng-Kee ingenuity :-) > CHerokee Indian, Russian, Ukrainian, Italian American damn it Hybrid vigor y'all, uh-huh!:-) An aside: I know a Sicilian woman who adamantly insists that her "sultriness" comes from N. African (Carthaginian/Libyan/Moorish) ancestry :-) ____________________________________________________________________ Get your own FREE, personal Netscape WebMail account today at http://home.netscape.com/webmail ------------------------------ From: Ray Terry Date: Fri, 24 Nov 2000 11:29:17 PST Subject: eskrima: . ------------------------------ End of Inayan_Eskrima/FMA-Digest V7 #551 **************************************** To unsubscribe from the eskrima-digest send the command: unsubscribe eskrima-digest -or- unsubscribe eskrima-digest your.old@address in the BODY of an email (top line, left justified) addressed to majordomo@hpwsrt.cup.hp.com.
