I'm sure you mean in regard to the quality. If I might throw in my two cents, Abanico Video Productions do create some of the finest quality Martial Art tapes I've ever seen (even when they weren't Inayan). :) - -- Steve Klement Masirib Guro (865) 988-7599 Inayan School of Eskrima - TN. inayan@mindspring.com http://www.inayaneskrima.com > In my opinion the videos are excellent and give honor to Suro Mike Inay. > They show the high standard of Suro Mike Inay's knowledge and teaching > abilities as well as the level of Abanico Video production quality. > > They will soon (probably early next year) be also available through Suro > Jason Inay too. > > I have send a set to Ray Terry who will be kind enough to review the > tapes for the Eskrima Digest, so that you will get a neutral comment > about the tapes. > > If anybody has more questions, I will be more than happy to answer them, > either here on the ED or via private e-mail. > > > Best regards from Germany > > > Dieter Knüttel > ABANICO Video Productions > http://www.abanico.de > http://modern-arnis.de ------------------------------ From: Kurokuwa@aol.com Date: Sat, 9 Dec 2000 12:19:49 EST Subject: eskrima: Re: Inayan_Eskrima/FMA-Digest V7 #572 - --part1_f8.56a3061.2763c3b5_boundary Content-Type: text/plain; charset="US-ASCII" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit In a message dated 12/08/2000 8:48:57 PM Eastern Daylight Time, eskrima-digest-owner@hpwsrt.cup.hp.com writes: 'll be in NY in a week for vacation. Most of their fights were in the mid 80s, but last year Rod came and participated with vigor and skill at a Gathering. (including four foot staff with a bokken structure.) Original Dog Brother Shark Dog (he is very prominent in DB #6- The stick vs. other weapons) used the bokken a lot too, and often gave TD a tough time. My uneducated perception is that is was very non-classical in several respects with this weapon. TD has told me that the toughest weapon he has faced is the bokken. If memory serves, he has had two cracked ribs over years from bokken fights. Salty Dog fought a slightly short bokken (Advertisement! This fight appears in "A DB Gathering of the Pack") and made it look easy, but that doesn't mean that all of the rest of us can. Woof, Crafty Dog PS: Another Advertisement: I have just received from Pappy Dog a rough edit of the next video in the second series: "Combining Stick & Footwork". We hope to have it completed this month, but with the annual tree killing frenzy, one never knows. ------------------------------ From: Chad Date: Sat, 9 Dec 2000 13:04:16 -0800 (PST) Subject: eskrima: Re: Juego Del Palo - Stick Fencing of the Canary Islands Travis wrote: >>Juego Del Palo - Stick Fencing of the Canary Islands >>The following maybe of interest, an article on Juego Del Palo - Stick >>Fencing of the Canary Islands, >> http://www.ejmas.com/jwma/jwmaart_wolf_0500.html Excellent web site.
