FWIW... It seems that AOL 6.0 might have a problem where it cannot send email in the standard "Plain Text" format. It seems that it can only send out email in HTML format, which is fairly unreadable in forums such as this one. In many cases I have been going in and editting out the HTML formatting for some of you in hopes that AOL would correct this bug. But I cannot continue doing that as it takes too much time. If I properly understand this situation, those using AOL 6.0 will need to report this as a bug, which it clearly is. Else, as AOL has told some folks, get yourself a hotmail or someother type of free email account so that you can participate from there. (or switch back to the older version of AOL) I have submitted a problem report to AOL, but have not heard back from them yet. Sorry... You must also remember: if it's icy/slick for you, it's the same for the bad guy, and he wants to try to run away after criminal activity. You're both at the same (dis)advantage on ice. bueno, Michael Kitchen student of Guro Cucci > From: Georgios Christou > Date: Thu, 14 Dec 2000 22:25:40 -0800 (PST) > Subject: eskrima: Training Question > > Hi people, > I love reading the digest and got a lot of insights > as to what to expect later on in my training! If I'm not mistaken Guro Dan said at one of his seminars that a lot of Indonesian martial arts start from a kneeling position because they would often times be fighting in mud. After the first couple of blows standing, they would slip to the ground. You might give it a try. ------------------------------ From: "BILL MCGRATH" Date: Sat, 16 Dec 2000 12:45:59 -0500 Subject: eskrima: Two New Stickfighters!
