Ray, I am a student of Maha Guro Sultan Uddin, and out of respect for him and on his behalf, I'm asking that you never refer to him by his previous name. The reasons are personal, but if you would respect my master's wishes, that would be very appreciated. I will understand if you choose not to post this message in the open forum, but only ask that you would follow the request. +--------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | The coolest site for free home pages, email, chat, e-cards, movie info.. | | http://www.goplay.com - it's time to Go Play! | +--------------------------------------------------------------------------+ ------------------------------ From: Kaliman33@aol.com Date: Mon, 8 Jan 2001 14:41:18 EST Subject: eskrima: Ron Balicki & Diana Inosanto Seminar Ron Balicki and Diana Lee Inosanto will be at Northshore Academy of Martial Arts in Libertyville Illinois on Feb 10 - 11. It was a lot of good information and I think it spun off into the current discussion specifically on weights, which has also been informative. Here are just a few things I might add to the posts from V8 #9 through V8 #10. 1. Steven, you were trying to recommend a book that describes your training regimen. It sounds similar to HIT (High Intensity Training). If it is, there is a HUGE FAQ at “the home of HIT,”www.cyberpump.com, 2. Ray, I have Matt Furey’s book sitting at home in its mailing folder. I have yet to open it, but from what I’ve seen of it off the web and from talking to others it is weight resistance based. A few of the exercises look very similar to stuff I did in Shaolin KF (one legged squats, pushups that look like dynamic cobra and praying child stretches, etc.). If I get to it this weekend, maybe I’ll post something. Thanks again. W/ much respect.
