Either get on the floor with the gentleman, like so many others on this board have, like "Crafty" & Tuhon, to train and make your own determination, if you think you are up to it. If you like what he has to offer, fine, if not, go on your own path. Posting this garbage from Australia, while not a member of the US armed forces or veteran, nor have you been on the floor to train with him. I can understand how our history has become so distorted when left to the academics & scholars rather than the men who have sacrificed their blood for our freedom. Some people just have NO sense of reality, so maybe you should stick to your neija mental masturbation. Do you have an opinion or feel like sharing some undisclosed information? Or do you just feel like spreading manure around to see what comes of it? Thanks for your invalid/invaluable input. My first E. Indian teacher was from Kerala, which is considered THE home of kalari payyat. There are Northern and Southern variances which reflect similar variations btwn Northern & Southern CMAs. There are other "arts" in India, e.g., Vajra Mushti (translates into something like "Lightning in the Hand"). Supposedly these arts are what Bodhidharma learned before going to China and eventually to Shaolin. It's very unlikely that he was the only person involved in transmitting Buddhism and influences from Indian martial arts into China and other places in Asia ... there were other missionaries from India in China and beyond before Bodhidharma went there. Apparently Bodhidharma was from Kerala, home to many Dravids or Dravidians. Just FYI, according to an Indian source from Kerala (contemporary, direct), the Dravids are considered the most African of the peoples in India. __________________________________________________________________ Get your own FREE, personal Netscape Webmail account today at http://webmail.netscape.com/ ------------------------------ From: "Darren Daoust" Date: Wed, 7 Feb 2001 15:25:16 -0600 Subject: eskrima: stick info Hi all Can anyone enlighten me on the qualities of kamaggong & bahi wood as a stick material.
