Regards, Michael**** Hi Michael... I too am fortunate enough to have a privet teacher to learn Jo staff from, besides his FMA he is also a teacher of traditional Japanese weapons, he started teaching me the use of the Jo Staff few years ago and we keep it up with all the other things we train in, to add to my eskrima and my earlier training with just the cane, the walking stick or Cane was my primary street weapon and something i was required to walk with for nearly 17 years so it maid sense back when i first started walking with it to learn how to use it as i had to walk with it.. Jo staff is cool and i recall dealing with the stress of Christmas 99 learning Jo kata number 1... required brown belt kata in jo for Aikido testing i believe... I still have marks on the ceiling though from the 2 months of devotion to the 22 moves. cool weapon i like it much better then the longer 6 foot staffs and for me it is easer to handle... besides that my ceiling would never survive the damage of the longer staff... Sparing with it is fun as well good long range weapon... " I have a low ceiling" Ms. J...... Drills, solo, sumbrada, numerado, tapping, hubud? Also, on Dan Inosanto's tape #6, the tape cover says there is footage of Dan training with some of his teachers. Who or what footage is on that tape? Thanks. Has anyone seen Rick Faye's video series or Rick Tucci series? Could you give a short review?
