Regino was born in the Philippines, and the two were related (I forget how) but they were not the same man. At 63 years of age, his movements are crisp, fast, economical and powerful. Wonderful left hand! Its always a joy to experience the depth and variety of the FMA. My thanks to his assistant Ramon Rubia, a well rounded man in his own right, for his help. Before I get flames on this, let me explain. 25 years or so ago, most people didn't cross train like we do now. Many trained like there was only one style, their own. There is a lot of cross pollination going on now that may blur the definition a little. (Its a good thing.) 50 more years of open minds and open communication will have an impact on the future of defining a MA. On a related note, I've heard that some have changed a numbering system etc. to trace their own influence. Any comments on that? - --- See you in the sticks, Dale www.kalieskrima.com ------------------------------ From: "jon broster" Date: Wed, 4 Apr 2001 06:54:55 -0700 Subject: eskrima: Inosanto blend videos Hi Dan Inosanto was over in the UK recently and filmed a new set of instructional videos.
