Put your thumb through the loop, wrap the cord down the back of your hand and then up across the palm of the hand so that you can grip the baton. Gm Gat Sorry it took so long for me to reply, I v been moving, and just got up = and running. I finally got with the new millennium and got a cable = modem, WOW what a difference. First of all let me reply to Gm Gats response to my response about the = Remy bashing. Apparently Gat has a problem with Remy, oh well so be it. = My post was simply to state that Remy does have a few fighters not many = but a few of us were trained a little differently. And if Gat was to = read my post with both eyes I believe that all I was stating was that if = a fellow Eskrimador was to train, learn from or fight with or even = teach me something they would see that there is a big difference between = the way I was trained and the way most others were trained. Where he got = the ideal that this was some kind of challenge to him is pretty mind = blowing. Maybe he wrestled to many gators or was hit to many times, = beating up all those so many people in the P.I I really don't know. My = statement remains the same though, I believe I fight more like Remy than = most of his Masters, of course I am just a lowly Guru so what would I = know. Again my whole post was basically to agree that yes Remy has many = flaws as do most of us. Gat himself told me of an offer that Remy made = him, which I believe to be true and in no way doubt Gat, because I know = Remy's M.O. But once again most of Remys flaws lay in his organizational = skills and business practices, not his fighting ability.=20 So in closing Gat the way I look at it when our paths cross you can = either be my friend and maybe increase my knowledge in the FMA, you = could start shit with me if that gives you a woody, or just leave me the = F^&k alone. It really doesn't matter to me. I have done the MA for over = 28 years without you, I am sure my life will be just fine with or = without you in it. As far as my fighting ability goes I never claimed to = be some sort of undefeated Eskrima champ. The way I see it is if I lose = against someone like you hell it ain't going to hurt my reputation, I am = not the Master here, and wouldn't have to be ashamed to show my face or = pack my bags and go back home. My father had 2 rules for me growing up " You start a fight I kick your = ass" "You run from a fight I kick your ass" So there you have it in a nut shell. man I had no ideal that sticking up for a man that taught me so much, = would be such a pain in the ass.=20 And one last thing about Remy, where were all these masters and what not = when he was out in the would making a name for the FMA's, if you make a = living doing FMA seminars, and especially if you are from the P.I . you = should thank God that Remy opened the doors for you. I have been doing = fma since 77 and I don't recall hearing about anyone else doing what he = did, out side of Tuhon Gaji and Guru I. Rocky=20 P.S I am done with trying to stick up for Remy, its not my job any more. = JEEEZ what happen to this list it use to be such a fun place. All I had = to worry about was Old Man Ray, The Craft MAster, or Dangerous Doc Fung, = picking on my writting skills, Oh the good old days. ------------------------------ From: Ray Terry Date: Mon, 04 Jun 2001 18:51:25 PDT Subject: Re: eskrima: Oh My!! Yes, I think so.
