A lot of time is spent on stick grappling & application. There are several segments where he is giving his m.a. philosophy. As I have found with the other Inosanto tapes, they deal with more principles than specific techniques, thus they are not neccesarily for the beginner. All around its an excellent tape, and Guro I's states that much of what is seen in dumog will be found in other grappling systems i.e. BJJ, catch as catch can , etc. I also recently got the Inayan Largo Mano/Kampilan & Pressure Senstive Nerve attacks which are both also excellent Sid Filipino Kali-Eskrima Academy of Chicago ------------------------------ From: "Joe Balabis" Date: Mon, 09 Jul 2001 04:36:49 Subject: eskrima: Serrada Escrima Demo - Aug. 11-12 There will be a demonstration of Serrada Escrima at the annual Pistahan celebration in San Francisco, on the weekend of August 11-12. The event will be taking place at the Yerba Buena Gardens in downtown San Francisco. The exact day and time of the demo have not yet been established, but this information will be provided once available. The demo will be headed by Master Darren Tibon, Pangulong Guro under Grandmaster Angel Cabales. Master Tibon will be bringing students from his Angel's Disciples school in Stockton, and there will also be students from the Angel's Disciples Bay Area schools (Serrada Escrima Club and School of Pilipino Mastery Arts) in attendance. We are all very excited about this event and are honored that Master Tibon will be coming. We hope that a lot of people can make it to this event and support us in our demo.
