Just playin....... ------------------------------ From: "Pentjakker" Date: Sun, 2 Sep 2001 20:21:11 -0400 Subject: eskrima: Professor: A loss to The Martial Arts Just a quick note to add to the condolences for the family, friends, and students of GM Remy Presas. My personal exposure to GM Presas was slim. One memory that sticks out is during a seminar with Wally Jay at Mitchell College in the summer of '91 where he did an impressive demo single stick against one of his students (sorry forget the name) doing sinawali. At first he started explaining tactics and techniques for facing sinawali then went head to head with his student. The student through chance or intent striped the Professor of his stick to which he immediately countered by striping one then both of the student's sticks, further on leasing a barrage of strikes to which the student ran away. Quite an impressive seen. Regards, Travis ------------------------------ From: GatPuno@aol.com Date: Mon, 3 Sep 2001 06:58:12 EDT Subject: eskrima: GM Hall of Fame, Seminar, Demonstration..
