If so, what are your comments. Good, bad indifferent! Buffy rules! :) hello, i am 14 and i live in London and i am really interested in starting a martial art, the problem is which one i should do. Could you write and tell me a martial art which involves punching, kicking and throwing and doesn't really use weaponry or wrestling or any spiritual dances and animal fighting. I would like it to look good and to feel good, and to be useful for self defence and attacking. I would like to make progress in it quickly, and i would like it to maybe use abit of gymnastic type movements at times, (like in buffy the vampire slayer), thank you very very much, melanie ------------------------------ From: Ray Terry Date: Tue, 01 Jan 2002 13:57:21 PST Subject: eskrima: Congrats Masirib Hanosh Congrats to Masirib Guro Cory Hanosh! An announcement from http://Inayaneskrima.com. Ray - ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Happy New Year everyone! It is my pleasure to announce on behalf of the IBE Council that Mr. Cory Hanosh is now ranked as Inayan Masirib Guro! This move from Lahong Guro to Masirib Guro is official as of today the 1st day of January 2002. Please join me in saying congratulations to Masirib Guro Hanosh. He has put in a tremendous amount of time and effort into Inayan Eskrima and this new rank reflects that. It is both an honor and a pleasure to have his talents and expertise in our organization and on the IBE Council. - -- Masirib Klement ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ From the diploma for Masirib Hanosh... This document is to serve as official record for the award and ranking to Cory Hanosh in the Inayan Systems International rank of Inayan Masirib Guro. We accept Mr. Hanosh as a brother, a friend, and warrior; that of which carries the deepest of Inayan values within his heart. Mr. Hanosh's deeds and actions both reflect and support his perseverance in promoting and spreading Inayan Eskrima in it's truest form; the utmost ideal of all Inayan Guros. Specifically, the rank of Inayan Masirib Guro reflects the true passion, loyalty, and lifelong commitment to Inayan Eskrima that the bearer has shown through both deeds and actions. This rank is acknowledgment of fulfilling the duties of the earlier ranks of Inayan Guro and Inayan Lahong Guro. By doing so he has not only earned the most respected title of Inayan Masirib Guro but has proven to his peers and juniors that he is in fact "Inayan". It is with great honor that we; Masirib Guro Emanuel Hart, Masirib Guro Jeffrey Elliott, Masirib Guro Steven Klement, and Guro Jon Ward present Cory Hanosh to the rest of the Martial Arts world in the esteemed rank and position of Inayan Masirib Guro. Let it be known that this rank is not given out lightly or often and is in no way the end of responsibility as an Inayan Eskrimador. On the contrary, it is only the beginning and in turn is one he will be tasked with in order to uphold the values of "Inayan" both as a Martial Art and as a belief. Mr. Hanosh is now a Senior unconditional member of the Inayan Brotherhood of Eskrima Guros and his actions will represent us all. From here on, as before, he will never walk alone. As his brothers and family in Inayan Eskrima, we will always be with him and what happens to him, happens to us all. May he walk with honor and pride as a Senior Inayan Guro! ------------------------------ From: "Jason Couch" Date: Tue, 1 Jan 2002 18:52:44 -0500 Subject: eskrima: Parodies > When you go there you will see a logo. From what I remember, parody and satire fell under the fair use exception to copyright. This is probably a trademark issue, and though it is treated differently, I believe parody still falls under fair use. That aside, let me just say that the KIL products are top shelf. I've broken/wore out plenty of other folks' sticks on a set I got from KIL a couple of years ago, with my sticks still in great shape.
