His roots to this system that was founded in 1952 is well founded and traced back to the famous stick fighter "Bacon", his expertese expression in this system of Escrima is a refreshing theme of FM and Culture. For everyone and all of you in the Southern California, come and join the seminar and meet GM Attilo. Cost: $45 - all day seminar - Starts at 10 am. No suprise here considering the backround. Return of energy is not the key. An avalanche can be started or diverted with a small initial amount of energy. Second, mobility and angulation can acelerate the effect of the counteroffensive. Third, can we assume the opponant is "moving in" so the range is equivelant such that he can hit me as I can hit him...said the spider to the fly? It is a long way from "there to here" and I'm waiting. Unless the receiver is "motorset" and or unable to accomplish any of the three tasks above, I see no advantage to be the agressor. "Advantage" defender. Thus Le Raison d'etre for the "progressive indirect attack" placing "advantage" back in the agressor's court. A complicated issue that deceptively lulls one into a short answer. Benchmade recently introduced some trainers that were designed as such. The blades are very blunt, drilled, and a bit shorter than usual. There is no way they could be mistaken for a cutting implement. I have heard that they will reach stores and internet dealers within a week or two. I don't know whether states like California will consider them legal, but perhaps Benchmade has done some research that they would be willing to share.
