GM Cacoy beagn his study of Kodokan Judo in the 1950's, got his brown belt in six months, his black in two years and it took something like seven more to make second grade, his current rank. He beagn his study of Ju-Jitsu in 1934 BB (Before Brazil....) Judo is taught at his school in the RP and the last time I checked it was called the "Kangaroo Judo Club" , at least that is what the sign on the door says. I don't know the origin of the name. GM Cacoy's first test for Brown belt was against a sixth dan examiner and since no one else was willing to step forward for testing he put himself forward. I have always loved his quote about his thoughts that day: " You will not die in Judo testing, you may get crippled, but you will not die..."
