That said, I'm still amazed at John Browning's designs and how well they have held up all these years later. He was a true genius. His 1911 design well predates that year, and I continue to be amazed that the semi-auto firearms and firearms designs of 60 or 100 years ago are as frequently used by civilians today as they were back then. A real tribute to the designers.
