However I am for some unknown reason unable to download your fighter registration form. I was wondering if you could please forward me a copy via e-mail. I am truly looking forward to the gathering. His wife is in intensive care in Detroit, but every thing seems to look good, thank God . From what GM Buots sister in law told me the car rolled over a couple of times, so they are very lucky!!! Dr. Buot is over seeing their recovery. I would like to wish them a speedy recovery. Of course you could have >peformed the Glock 22 disarm (suspect would be dead) or if only we could >carry swords.........(: > >Ken Jowers Dear Ken, Your post is a great example of what can go wrong when the rubber meets the road. The normal expectation is that someone sustains a broken arm they will drop what ever they have in their hand and cease all aggressive actions... sometimes it does happen that way and other times it does not! The lesson to be learned from this... in combat don't assume that evrything will go down just as you trained for it; a second more reavaeling lesson from your post is that people have to stay in training and upgrade their training on their own if necessary. Your guys were two years out of training with regard to "swinging a stick" if I have read your post correctly. Thaqt may or may not have played a role in the failure to disarm... I doubt that it did, however, it does point to a need for all of us to stay in training, even cross train, for more effectiveness when we have to put our training to the real test in the street.
