Only in America for sure, free speech Everyone has always something to say or do always good to have a debate for a short time when time allows Although emails can be leathal sometimes, a very small thing can grow way out of proportions sometimes, just a thought Pak Vic Hi All, I received something like 6 - 7 emails from "Wild Bill". He freaked out on me and cursed me out for my slow responses to his stupid questions. On another occasion he chose to offer me his advice on an exchange (that many of you may remember) that I had with Pak Vic. He wanted me to attack Pak Vic and Ray Terry as if either of them had done me a personal wrong and I told him, quite frankly, to "get a life". And on yet another occasion, he emailed me under a different identity (also with the initials BK) and asked me the same exact questions that he asked me previously as "Wild Bill"! I called him on it and he sent me some pretty disturbing replies. This guy is whacked. Period. One of the ways that the FMA are different from most other martial arts is in their roots in situations involving more than two people. But the knowledge of this part of the Art here in America to my knowledge is little established. The only systems with material in this area that I have seen are the late GM Leo Giron's Bahala Na Larga Mano (now headed by GM Tony Somera), Pekiti Tirsia, Sayoc Kali and Inosanto Blend. No doubt many other systems have material in this area, but I have not seen or heard of it being shared. Given the mission of Dog Brothers Martial Arts to be a system for practical application (with continuous testing done in the context of the Dog Brothers Gatherings) this is an area of great interest to me and I have asked Tuhon Sayoc to share with us some of his system's material in this area in one of his sessions at the Training Camp. On the first day of the Camp (this coming Thursday) after the introduction I will open things up with what in DBMA we call "The Prison Riot Training"-- which in a certain sense is an American example of a skirmish :-o -- and then turn things over to Tuhon Chris. I am very curious to see what he will share with us. In the FMA I've seen it in Inayan and Doce Pares. In others I've seen in Tang Soo Do, Taekwondo, Hapkido, Judo, etc. Or perhaps we are talking about different things??? e.g. we would frequently do many-on-one drills in the Inayan backyard. One of the toughest training grounds around...
