Reply-To: eskrima@martialartsresource.net BTW, I need to clarify one point I made in one of my previous posts. "We realized very quickly the effect that training in this manner had in developing our speed, offensive, and counter-offensive reflexes, footwork and blade awareness. These attributes are developed at a much faster rate then what we had experienced before..." Now, this only applies to me, but since I am just beginning to explore Pekiti-Tirsia Kali, I can't say that this statement applies to this system. Since I listed PTK in my bio (listed past to present), I felt I needed to clarify that point since there are many things in this system I have not yet encountered. With that being said, I still believe that sparring in this manner is very effective at developing these attributes and would be well suited for practitioners of any system to utilize.
