Found it on ThatsRacin.com. Earnhardt Jr. excited about role in jiujitsu event By JIM UTTER ThatsRacin.com Writer Dale Earnhardt Jr., one of NASCAR's most popular drivers, has moved into the role of promoter. Earnhardt Jr. is using his interest in the sport of Jiu Jitsu to launch the inaugural Dale Earnhardt Jr. Grappling Classic, set for Jan. 25 at Cabarrus Arena in Concord, N.C. "I'm happy to be a part of something that will surely impact the sport of Jiu Jitsu," Earnhardt Jr. said. "What started out as conversation between me and a couple of buddies has turned into a huge competition that will bring a ton of exposure to this exciting, unique sport." The tournament is the brainchild of Joe Hurst, 2001 Jiu Jitsu world champion, and Garrett Barger, a N.C. state trooper and Jiu Jitsu student. Competition begins at 10 a.m. and continues throughout the day. Tickets are $20 for adults, $10 for children ages 3 to 12.
