My black belt "test" consisted of showing up for class on day and my teacher gave me a diploma for my black belt. I had no idea that he was going to do it. I was shocked. He basically said : "I practice with you every class. I know your ability." I felt alot like you seem to. I felt like I wasn't ready, or I should have tested or done SOMETHING. It took me a while to get used to the idea, but I think it was an insightful thing to do on his part. It kept me from getting all cocky and made me focus more on learning. So don't sweat it. If your instructor says you are ready; your probably ready. For what its worth... -Nat __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo! Even in Metro Manila, the term Arnis is more known. Eskrima - is used commonly in the Visayan region Both Arts use impact and edged weaponry and preference or specialty varies from teacher to teacher or practitioner to practitioner. Regards, Louie D.
