Maybe its just me, but it sounded like he was saying that the elbow and hip bone are primary targets in Serrada. This IS crap. Name me ONE counter within the Serrada system that specifically targets the elbow or hip bone(not including empty-hand). There is not one. No one is saying that you can't hit either of these targets given the opportunity. It does, however, strengthen the argument of those who say that Serrada is a stick art to say that these are primary targets, which THEY ARE NOT. The problem is, the more realistically you train, the closer you get to the point of combat; physical harm. In the case of stickfighting, realistic training could result in severe bruising which could in turn, introduce blood clots into your bloodstream. Now, I'm no doctor, but I do know that this could ultimately lead to a stroke. A rare chance I'm sure, but not impossible. I train to live, not to die. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to know that getting hit with a stick has no positive benefits outside of being able to take a hit. I already know it hurts like hell. I've watched people go at it for real and I've seen some (barely) walk away with serious injuries. No thanks.
