We all know that what occurs in the entertainment world can not be compared to what can possibly happen in real life, except that in real life you don't have the wires attached to you so that you can do those perfect circles in a back flip or jump that fifty feet into the air whilst fighting with an opponent or two whilst engaged in mortal combat. Also even though I am not an American,  it is unwise to generalise about how the whole population of American Arnisadors will react. It would be better if we all stopped criticising about each other and tried to SHARE our knowledge and view points with mutual respect. If you don't agree, then just respect that someone has a different opinion and live with it. Hey if the following were true 9 guys earn $600 per week = $5400 1 guy earns $4,600 per week Total earnt $ 10,000 Divide the total by 10 giving the average earnings to be $1000 per week Well that's  statistics.  Even though this may be a bit extreme it certainly shows that differences in scales of earnings can effect the perceived national average of any country. Roll over and die??? And while my experiences have been similiar to Lisa's in that I have had more success fighting larger opponents than smaller, I still think that the idea that size matters is perfectly valid. So I disagree with Lisa's premise that size does not matter. As a matter of fact, I would venture to say that if I or Lisa met with an opponent who was equal to us in every way EXCEPT that they were STRONGER or LARGER, then with a very high certainty, I would estimate that 99.9999% of the confrontations will be favorable for the larger opponent. Moreover, with my and Lisa's experience, we have only proved to be exceptions to the size rule, NOT proof that the size rule is invalid. ALL THINGS BEING EQUAL...this is the key phrase. I am by no means a mini-Bruce Lee (hell, Bruce Lee himself was a mini-Bruce Lee :-) )but I was always able to exploit the slowness and clumsiness of a much stronger opponent. However, if I ever met up with a larger and stronger opponent who had equal speed, endurance and quickness and did NOT have that clumsiness or lack of flexibility that I could exploit, then I would most certainly lose. Remember, the key phrase is: "all things being equal". __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? SBC Yahoo! She brought back some anthropologicial studies texts from her most recent trip to visit her family there. The text informs that the native name of Okinawa was Uchina. "Okinawa" is the Nipponized (Japanese) name. The original peoples of Uchina were Malays, Mongols, and Ainus. Mitakuye Oyasin.
