Celebrex* is an anti-inflamitory used most often for elderly arthirtics. When my doctor gave me a sample for my sore knee, I thought he had the observation powers of an HMO doctor trying to nurse off bad hangover. Holy Cow! This stuff works great! It not only greatly helped my knees, but the stress fracture in my lower back as well. It is not addictive, it is not a narcotic, it is not that expensive (actually, insurace pays usually), and you only need one a day. Ask your doctor. They are usually happy to write you a prescription. Hope this Helps, -Nat __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? SBC Yahoo! This resulted in a good many posts listing some great fight scenes. I then tried asking a similar question on a fiction writer's newsgroup I belong to. To my surprise, the writers (most of whom are voracious readers of fiction) sent only two posts in, each with only one or two examples. This got me thinking, and in all the fiction I have read, I really can't recall a moment when I thought "wow, that was a cool sword cut" or other cool technique, the way I have so many times while watching a martial arts movie. Oh, I can think of some great lines delivered during a book's fight scene such as: "When I end the refrain, I thrust home!" (Cyrano de Bergerac) and of course "Hello, my name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father, prepare to die." (The Princes Bride), but nothing where I could visualize the technique used and be impressed by it. So now I will ask the members of this list: Can you name some books with great fight scenes? (as we martial artists would define "great"). A friend suggested I try Bernard Cornwall's "Sharp" series, which takes place in 18th century England. Has anyone read any of his books and would you recommend them? RE:Pekiti-Tirsia seminar I will be teaching a seminar in Minnesota the end of the month. Here are the details. You will have to try several listings to find them. I found them listed under "wall plaque," "sword wall plaque," "Moroland wall board," etc. You get the idea. You have to try any way you can think of to describe these things because most people advertising them do not have a clue as to what they are trying to describe. One note of caution: Some boards are nicer and more carefully made than others, and will give a better rendition of the weapons, so make sure you see a good picture of the one you are wanting to buy so you are not disappointed when it arrives. Good luck. Kristine Strasburger __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? SBC Yahoo!
