I have never done this until I was recently forcefully reminded how deficient I was in that direction. FWIW I have started to hit my shin bone with a rattan stick daily gradually increasing the force of the blows (actually at this point they are rather pitiful taps). I have avoided kicking anything hard with the shin and rather develop power on softer targets on the assumption that doing the former would lead to eventual flinching and reduction of effective power. Should one condition daily or leave periods to recover (as in weight lifting)? Does dit-da-jow (sp?) help? Any magic incantations? Eating Thai food? Advice will be much appreciated.
