Gentlemen, The hoo! haa! over waivers initially started after our Canadian friend had a difference of opinion to my response to a fellow FMA members request for information re: waivers, and my opinion/suggestion was and is, definitely! have wavers signed...Due to the fact that many a people are lawsuit crazed and liability insurance is not enough...I also understand the waiver laws vary from state to state, however, the importance on behalf of the instructors/schools responsibilities to inform and have their students acknowledge the dangers and inevitable injuries practicing MA cannot be stressed enough... Otherwise, NEGLIGENCE! by not informing the students and having them acknowledge (waivers) can result in serious ramifications... What kind of teacher I have, I would think A man's hard work stolen, it is ashame, shows the takers versus the givers in our world Regards, Pak Vic I heard of one instructor in Europe that made copies of Suro Inay's tape to give to his students. NOT an honorable action, but yet more proof that others also had no trouble making good copies. They don't seem to be all that similar... but I don't know of any hanbo schools here in San Jose. Of course some dojos may include it as one of the weapons they use after reaching black belt.
