This years event will be held on November 8 & 9, It is a two day event with Saturday duplicating and expanding on last year’s event and a Sunday tournament. Highlights of Last Years event includes: O Demonstrations by 11 different Filipino Martial Arts Organizationso Workshops from 9 different instructors o Over 120 Participants and 20+ Instructorso Over 70 adult players participated in Point, Continuous Padded, and Live Stick Sparring. o There were over 80-audience member, numerous vendors, and we had over 40 volunteers from 3 community-based organizations. o Print Media and TV coverage of the event. Last years success was only possible because of the interest and efforts of the participants and contributors. If you were at last years event please read the above highlights as your accomplishments. A number of Northern California instructors and organizations have already expressed their interest to participate and to staff volunteers at the event. You can expect the same level of fun, community, knowledge, and skill will be represented. This year’s event will be as great as last year and we are expanding its scope and vision. I look forward to seeing many of last year’s participants as well as new faces. The DVD set (5 ina all) is produced by George Denson and a big tip of the cane to him. If you visit the CSSD/SC website you can get more information there. All for now. One Police officer viewed what we were doing as fighting, his supervisor was called in ( luckily I knew him ) and his view was we were simply doing a full contact sport. I have been trying to get a full contact party together here for the past couple of years but the cities are bitching about it, one even wanted a governing body like the WBA or WBC to regulate it, which they wouldn't even know what the hell we were doing. Now 15 years ago we use to fight in the park at least twice a week, without a problem but times have change, you can thank mindless juries and dirt bag lawyers for that!! Anyways like I said in Michigan things can really very from city to city so you should be very careful with what you are doing. On a different note I finally got my web site back up, its only been 2 years!!!
