After I subscribed I received 2 issues, 8 months later I sent them an email explaining my situation and they sent me 1 more issue. I haven't seen anything else since. __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? The New Yahoo! I emailed its publisher Eliot Shearer this summer explaining that I never received the product that we paid for, but I never heard back from him, either. He DID, however, do us the service of quickly cashing our check. ========== Give Eliot a call and confront him about it. His number is on the website. He has only put out 1 issue this year dues to some problems with printers. Another issue is at the prints now with a 3rd being put together. Give him a call. www.filipinomag.com www.arnisbalite.com --------------------------------- Do you Yahoo!? The New Yahoo! The last time he explained to me there was some type of problem with retrieving subscription info from the old data source (or something to that effect.) Give him another try- I'm sure he'll want to resolve it for you- Jeff "Da Bear" Wroten _________________________________________________________________ Enjoy MSN 8 patented spam control and more with MSN 8 Dial-up Internet Service. I agree with Ray that they aren't as good as rattan. I find them quite heavy. Try www.stickman-escrima.com. Jeff Finder used to be a member of this list. He provided me with the sticks that you've seen me work out with. As you know I have a certain fondness for them. --__--__-- Message: 8 From: "Bill Lowery" To: Date: Fri, 24 Oct 2003 19:04:58 +0100 Subject: [Eskrima] Re: FMA magazine Reply-To: eskrima@martialartsresource.net Hi Matt, I've been trying to get replies from Elito Shearer for over two years. the excuse I get from Halford Jones is that he (ES) had a computer crash and when he sorted things out some fo his email correspondants were placed on the block list. I'm supposed to be the UK distributor for the mag, but I am still waiting for about 12 copies of four issues. Eliot (finally) says he didn't receive the money, I have no way of proving this as I sent cash (my bad), but I have to work out what the postage is, before I can send the replacement moeny. As I said, it can take months to get a reply and then only if I go via Halford Jones. Not the best way to run a magazine. To: eskrima_digest Subject: [Eskrima] Ice Baths Reply-To: eskrima@martialartsresource.net Hi, Thanks for sharing the theory behind the ice bath recovery method. In June I completed my first marathon, and at the urging of my coach, hobbled into an ice bath as soon as we got back to the hotel. He is an ultra-marathoner (100 mile races), so I trusted his recovery recommendation. I don't know for sure if my recovery would have been slower if I hadn't done the ice bath, but I suspect (based on previous athletic endeavors) that the bath helped. I would recommend it. When I played soccer in high school I used to soak in an epsom salt bath between practices (we did three a day preseason). Anyone know why epsom salt is beneficial?
