The date and location isn't set yet. -------------------------------------------------------- Michael Janich MBC Course- Bay Area (CA) Hi everyone, After having a very successful Martial Blade Craft Course in the Bay area in June of this year, we've decided to put on another course for those that missed out on the original. If you are interested, it will be a two day course. Course Description: Mr. Janich, a consummate master of both armed and unarmed self-defense, is considered to be the foremost authority on the deployment and use of a folding knife in real-world situations. Mr. Janich currently conducts self-defense training for Spyderco Corp. and Martial Blade Craft LLC. Additionally, he is the video production manager for the Paladin Press and has developed signature knives with Masters Of Defense, Spyderco, and Mike Snody. Coursework will cover Day 1: Introduction Knife Deployment Grip Stance Cutting/Thrusting Defensive Zones Stopping Power Disarms/Meets/Follows/Passes Flow Drills Day 2: Brief Review of Day 1 Advanced Flow Drills Knife to Knife disarms Defensive responses in Combat situations Speed Stops Disabling techniques This coursework lays a solid foundation for the use of a folding knife as a self-defense weapon, and to top it off it's going to be a whole lot of fun. Here are some links for more information about the course and Michael Janich: www.martialbladecraft.net www.spyderco.com www.mastersofdefense.com www.paladin-press.com www.snodyknives.com The course will most likely be held on a weekend in the bay area and cost about 200 to 250 dollars per person. Class size will be small with plenty of time for hands-on, personal instruction.
