Does anyone know where I can get a copy of it? >Thanks, Sam Sam, What part of the country are you in? I was able to find a copy available for borrowing at the S.I.P.A. Center in Los Angeles. The copy there was a gift from Virgil Apostol, which suggests that he may live in the area. You might have better luck seeking out the authors themselves to find a copy, although here is some additional information about the book that may be of service to you: ISBN 0-9650672-0-3 Library of Congress Catalog Card Number: 98-93724 Also, this address was listed on the book with the author's names: 2005 Highland Ave. (Suite 2) National City, CA 91950 Please let me know if you manage to find a copy, as I should probably get one myself. Her relatives will make sure she doesn't go alone. Even with Directions she would still need a guide to make sure she doesn't get swindled by the taxi drivers... But to really find out where the squadron shop is your or her relatives would know where that is if not know of someone who does... Specifically in Greenhills. This area is where alot of rich people live. So don't worry. She'll be fine. The place to find it at Virra Mall. It is kind of like a Flee market type place. To get there depending on where she is coming from. Coming from south. She will take EDSA (going north) 1.) She will see this Mall called Robinson's Galleria and the EDSA Shrine at the corner. She will take a right turn to Greenhills.(This if she is commuting on a bus) 2.) If she is driving She takes EDSA goning north then take the ramp and exit on San Juan. NOW that she's on San Juan! Go strainght and she will find a shopping center on the Right. This is VIRRA Mall. When she enters it is divided passed the fastfoods, she goes out crosses a small bridge to the second building. Squadronne shop is on the SECOND Floor. take the escalator because it takes you to that side of the store. Take a right there is a pet shop and go through that hall. I think it's Langka ST. (that's how they call there alley type hallways in the building.) then go strainght it's in the back. After all the gaming stores on the near right side. If it is her first time make sure you tell her that they search the bags when you go in any Mall or establishment. Don't be offended. It's a security thing. It's kind of like HONG KONG"S NIght Market. Hope this helps. Good luck. It has a cord/wire wrapped wooden handle and tapered twisted and shellac'd (spelling?) rope that is knotted every few inches to the tip. it "pops" if used correctly without any additional doodads on the tip. some guro's may put a very small piece of cloth on the end to make it more visible or noisy for demo's. Because of the knots, it catches and tears anything that it hits, so that even a flicking attacks to the face or eyes will often end the fight. Any rational person who has done a demo with Po has a very healthy respect (read "terror") for it's power and speed. The shellac makes it as stiff or as supple as the user wants, but having a fairly long wooden handle wired to the the tapered rope makes it work somewhat like a stick so a jab, bartikal, or twirl all work.  Fighters have been known to dip the still wet end in broken glass to add to it's effectiveness. If my memory serves me right some even dipped the tip in dung to cause infection. This type of latiko is very rare in the U.S., and my students have not been able to find pictures or reference to them anywhere else, even the internet. I have a picture of it, sort of, on my website, www.kwikstik.com in the hands of two young students who use it in demo's (look at the "fahsi" page). it's their (Mark & Albert, twins no less!) favorite weapon. The ones in that picture were a gift from PG Marinas after he took a trip back home in the 80's. It's not a great picture, but you can get the idea. anyway, no firecrackers, no poppers, just a very, very effective and dangerous weapon.                                                            Rob Mulligan, Queens, NY  P.S. by the way, PG Marinas writes about it in his books.                           ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Is there a gadget-lover on your gift list?
