I have for years. You can fire harden them by running a propane torch up and down the length of the stick if youre really worried about them. If you got a good deal though, i wouldnt sweat it too much. It featured Savate and they went into a little bit of cane fighting that the French gentlemen of old used for self defense. Any info out there? It looked very flowery, in some respects, but they had a lot of power shots interspersed throughout. I saw some stuff with the footwork that impressed me. Reply-To: eskrima@martialartsresource.net I posted a request for anyone knowing anything about the Fillipino or Indonesian arts in a Maui a few weeks ago. It has recently came to my attention that I may have offended a few people with the way I ended my post using my initials of KKK. It was in no way meant as a racial slur since I often jot down my initials to end a note and my name is Karol K Krauser... So to any I offended I apologize. I am still looking for people to play with in Maui as I am re-locating there in January and am going to be hopefully starting up a group on the west end of the island. If anyone has any information or contacts it would be great. Selamat Karol Krauser / Ungoy __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? They like to pull the cane back, winding up forehand, hiding the cane just prior to a strike. Upon occasion they'll reverse direction with the strike, doing a 360 turn, once they get you thinking same-same. Fun to watch...
