May be worth looking into . I was not offended or anything. I just wanted to give you my two cents. Because I have witnessed some. I know not alot will believe in it. It's kind of like what the American indieans beliefs. It is just hard to grasp if it is not part of your culture. I remember Tatang Ilustrisimo showing me his Tatoo on his chest. He said it is what kept him protected all these years. And he likes to bless sticks for you. One of my instructors in Laguna had a whole lot it was part of our learning. We were required to learn it. But due to college I did not get their to that part of our training. But my instructor demonstrated it. Every Good fridays Before Easter is considered a day when all the anting anting/oraciones are tested. They feed their powers with prayers and then chant their latin words. They test it at Mount Banahaw in Laguna. It is a very sacred place. My instructors used to go. Too mystrical for you? For me too. But that's just why I never got into it. I believed more in skills than this magic. It is like a Lord of the Rings magic thing. We believe in spirits, dwarves, evil surrounding us. Hard to explain but part of everyday life in the Philippines. Everybody who reads this will laugh. It's just one of those things. But the Filipinos who lived in and grew up in the provinces will atest to it. Just keep an open mind about it. BELIEVE IT OR NOT.
