It was encouraging. However, my only rant is that the reporter (whoever that was) characterized arnis as the indigenous sport in which the players use two sticks against each other *sigh* which we all know is NOT the only thing arnisadors do, given the variety of training modalities within each arnis style. Such however is the popular image of arnis in our country. You'd think that for a Filipino newspaper the journalists they employ would take more time to find out just exactly what practitioners of the indigenous martial art really do. But noooo....
