I don't like them on my weapons (at work) and I wouldn't put one on my blade. They serve a good purpose for soldiers who tend to drop or "forget" their equipment because, the lanyard will keep that piece of equip. tied to you. Lanyards are also good if you have to travel through a nasty draw (thick vines, branches, water, etc...) because, often you come out the other side missing equipment that you had going in. The lanyard has it's place in a field environment. I don't like things tied to my hand or from my weapon to my body. I feel restricted using a lanyard. ===== **JASON COUTURE** __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo! The art is composed of multiple strikes, takedowns, sweeps, joint locks, grappling/wrestling, ground, knife, and stick fighting. This system is a combination of finesse, applying physics, knowledge of anatomy, and how energy is directed. The emphasis is on economy of motion and efficient self defense. Guru Ingram has been practicing and teaching this art for longer than most of us have been around and moves likes someone half his age. Don't miss this rare opportunity. Also... if one does use a lanyard make sure to loop it correctly(?) around your hand. Put your thumb through the loop, then wrap the two lines across the back of your hand so that the knife grip feeds up into your palm. That way you aren't really 'tied' to your knife.
