I would like to give him an Escrima lesson, and no I don't like his music (or Elvis' music for that matter!)... too bad he was taught Escrima at all. I don't hate him, but I also would never endorse his music. Ever. Westside and I'm out. --------------------------------- Do you Yahoo!? New and Improved Yahoo! In the San Francisco Bay Area, the Ernie Reyes's schools of West Coast Karate/TKD picked up some stick fighting from Master Jimmy Tacosa, as the story is told to me by one of his senior students, Vince Uttley. I've watched a few Ernie Reye's classes at the Milpitas and Mountain View branches. There wasn't much eskrima action with the super thin rattan sticks in the hands of the kids. Has anyone seen what this organization is doign with these sticks lately? They do seem to have a lot of Kama action whenever I'm there to watch. All of the men and women (boys and girls in many cases) are heroes in my eyes and I understand completely why you would come to their defense in the manner that you did. I get pissy too. You have a good one as well. Jimmy has apparently been working with the West Coast group somewhat recently, so not sure what they are doing now. I believe the original "sticks" instructor of Ernie, and maybe Tony and Ed, was Mike Inay. Ernie may have worked with Jimmy a bit after that. ???
