They arrived very quickly, within a week of my order I found the DVDs to be of very high quality, both in the video production work of Mr.. Knuttel and in the teaching and demonstration of the art itself by Suro Inay and Guro Hart. I was quiet impressed with the art and now that I have seen the quality of these DVDs I plan to order the rest of Suro Inay's DVDs. It is very sad to see another eskrimador pass away. I have recently experienced a loss of a great eskrimador, Maestro Elmer Ybanez, and it's unfortunate to see them go. It shows that we should do our best to learn and get to know each of these great masters for their knowledge of the art is priceless. Again, condolences to the family, friends, and fellow martial artists. Grand is a 3-way intersecton that also involves train tracks. If you live in the valley here, inevitably you have, at some time, been caught at the light, waiting for 15-20 minutes for a train to pass, back up, change tracks, and cross again. Usually this just means that you get a good long look at the strip clubs and homeless people that congregate on this road; sometimes you will have to deal with a pan-handler. HOWEVER, add night to the equasion, and you have a ready trap for the unsuspecting. It is not unheard of for people to be robbed at gunpoint, carjacked or even kidnapped while waiting for a train to pass. Generally, if I can't avoid crossing Grand altogether, I leave enough space in front to do an emergency U-turn, carry various stabbing objects in the pocket on my door, and have that attitude-adjusting tire iron within reach. I don't know about you, but I feel the most exposed waiting at intesections. I am necessarily destracted with (and boxed in by) traffic, sitting, and buckled up. This brings up the question: How do you guys prepare for someone approaching your vehicle? What would you do if a panhandler tried to open your door or reached through your window? -Nat __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? New and Improved Yahoo!
