I don't know. Which is why I ask. > > Michael Koblic > Campbell River, BC With knives I suspect that someone who has not trained so as to make sure that he does not inadvertently cut himself (often on the inner arm where even small cuts can be dangerous) can find two counterproductive. It also becomes exponentially harder to explain that two knives are being carried with peaceful intention than one to the local gendarmes and to juries. I'm NOT saying carrying two is a bad idea, just noting some factors to weigh in the calculations. As far as stick goes, (or sword per the KK Ajarn you quote) MANY people believe one is better than two. I prefer two, but this only came after a while of doing the DB thing based upon my foundation in Inosanto Blend. Accumulating double stick fighting skill definitely added years to my fighting.. I find it to allow far superior zoning via triangles which makes for both a safer fight for me and a more dangerous one for my opponent. I also find it to have greater applicability for me for empty hand. It also makes for balanced body development. One stick can lead to physical imbalances over the years. Alland). From what I've seen first hand, they both are phenomenal at what they do. Tuhon Leo is not only a great combatant he is an excellent instructor, philosophizer, promoter etc. He has literally spread his art of Pekiti Tersia Kali to the far corners of the globe. with practitioners in Italy, Germany, Scandinavia, Malaysia, Canada, USA, England, Spain etc. Tuhon Gaje's Legacy will be set in stone as one of the greatest most innovative Filipino Martial Artists that has ever lived and one of its greatest ambassadors in the exposure of FMA's around the world." It started as a Filipino Martial Art from Negros but it soon mix with other FMA and non-FMA techniques. It use Sinawali and other Drills from Canete and the Trianglar foot work comes from Silat. On the other hand, Dekiti Tirsia Siradas stays true to traditional techniques, adapting it to new situation rather then absorbing techniques from other fighting arts.
